Global
International Development Week 2026
The Partnering for Climate and International Biodiversity teams in YLP are collaborating this year to expand efforts beyond the traditional half-day International Development Week event held previously, and instead will co-host two days of knowledge sharing and brainstorming sessions for members of the Nature and Climate Community of Practice.
On February 2, we will begin with climate and nature programming updates and brainstorming sessions focused on key lessons learned from P4C programming. The second part of Day 1 will be co-hosted by the IUCN team managing NAbSA and is restricted to P4C partners. It will take place at the Global Affairs Canada Office.
On February 3, Aga Khan Foundation Canada (AKFC) will co-host with Global Affairs Canada (GAC) an extended morning of high-level information-sharing panels and follow-up brainstorming discussions focused on how to associate nature-based programming with carbon/nature revenue streams and value-chains, blended finance and private sector partnerships. Day 2 will end with a knowledge sharing session on Indigenous nature-based solutions programming as well as the formal launch of the GAC-funded report: Working with Knowledge Holders to Advance Inclusive and Equitable Nature and Climate Initiatives.
